Default four * 40 kitbash group build this winter?

Heres my idea, I have a spare 4* fuse kit sitting around,

I am tending towards bigger airplanes these days, But i am always guilty of starting new stuff when I should be finishing old stuff! I know I am not alone on this ! There seems to be alot of people building this kit, and modifying it. My idea was this...maybe we can come up with a decision of what to build as a group kit bash. I actually don't have a wing with this kit..not that I couldn't find one. So I would mainly be building a fuselage, that accepts a stock wing. Anyone could shorten, lengthen, or round the tips if they pleased.. Or add wire landing gear to the wing..wheel pants etc.

Now depending on any interest, and what we decide to build, We can try to find a cowl, canopy, etc. from different kits available. Mix and match what we use to build this thing. Now if it comes out looking like a 4* ..I am going to consider it a FAIL ! This kit can be made into everything from a vintage racer,a biplane (lots of extra work !) a warbird, civilian aircraft...etc. I think with a little work it could even be made into something high wing like a citabria.. or a parasol wing..

I am thinking of something that will start with a boxed up stock fuse, then we add, and possibly subtract a little from it. We will be making new pieces for turtle decks, firewall, bulkheads etc. and possibly more involved. At this point I am thinking of cowling it in, but some designs might allow it to be built open cheeks like the kit.

I am not going to tell you what I would like to possibly do ..until I see if there is any interest in it, and what ideas you have...this should be a relatively cheap kit to work with, and maybe even a few first timers will give it a shot. Access to a small scroll saw or bandsaw maybe handy....

Ok lets see if anyone is interested !
