The main problem with Balsa is that it doesn't come in large sheets. Each wing half for this project is 9 feet long and the chord is 21 inches wide at the root and just over 8" at the tip. I would like to have as few seems as possible. Also, when balsa is glued together at the seams you end up with slight surface irregularaties because of the glue joint not sanding as fast as the rest of the sheet.
