True, but this discussion stemmed from a different question and is thus far doing well.

For me, it started with electric in the 80s, and then I headed toward nitro and once I began to see the appeal of nitro as it relates to 1:1 vehicles (i.e. working internal combustion engine) that seemed the more appealing platform. I never went totally away from electric, however, and now I am old and too much into trying to make crazy ideas come to life so everything needs to be different. Haha! A hybrid RC! Nitro-electric hybrid RC! Pair that with Traxxas EZ start and the LiPo batt can power it to restart teh engine when the nito needs to kick in again! Better yet, put traction motors at all four wheels so that when you need to stop, instead of converting kinetic enegy into heat, you reverse the polatity of teh 4 traction motors so that they recharge teh LiPo, Dynamic braking!

Sounds silly and stupid, but I personally like it.
