Got the ofna all broken in so I took it out for a quick thrashing tonight. First hit a large open paved lot and just ripped around. The high speed needle is at 3.5 turns out and it screams. I didn't bother leaning it out any more yet, it's more than fast enough for me right now as it is and is blowing a nice smoke trail. The engine was actually cooler ripping around the parking lot than it was breaking in on the bench, I suppose from the air flow.

So I got bored there after 2 tanks and went looking for a dirt lot to rip up. Found one, and let me tell you, granted this is my first 8th scale, but I have never had a car handle this well. Throws beautiful 4 wheel rooster tails, and it absolutely flies in the dirt. The handling is superb, just power through the corners and it does a perfect controlled drift, all the while blasting a big rooster tail. Made me look like a pro. There is a local track that charges $5 a day to practice, I'll probably go out Sunday and try it out there.

Here's some pics. Oh by the way I picked up the Firehammer on craigslist for $250 earlier this week. Runs perfect, though I melted the steering servo a couple days ago so waiting on a new one. I also think it's actually an XTM grizzly and not a duratrax due to the stamping on the radio tray. Anyway, here's the pics.
