Thanks, guys. The Vintage meet in PA was a blast, I intend to go to more of them next year. Especially since I will build a .020 twin Jr Skylark just for the events!
But to keep on the Perigee topic, here's the latest photo: Block is all sanded down. notice the protective tape to prevent sanding into the "good" area. Then I smeared on some 20-minute finishing epoxy onto the balsa, and wiped it down with a paper towel. This will be the sealed base for a few coats of primer, brushed on and sanded down. Although I should spray the final coat on, I will brush it. after all, this is a working plane, not a show girl..........
