Default RE: Best Performance 2-stroke For .60 Plane

Update on my dissapointing Supertigre G61 ringed: I'm using 10% nitro in it. I was running it with a MACS Stubby "tuned" pipe. I switched back to the stock pipe a couple of days ago and immediately saw a 13% gain in RPM. Both the high and low sides are much more reliable now and the plane is obviously quieter. I still have the original packaging for the MACS and it says "fits G61 only, will cause overheating in G75". (???) With the stock pipe it will turn an APC 11-7 at 12,400ish static. I'd still like to do much better!

Not trying to hurt your feelings, but that was not a tuned muffler. Lots of folks have discovered that even though it resembles something that would be tuned, its only asset is that it is very light and maybe less expensive than a stock muffler if the original is lost.

Buy a Jett or PSP tuned muffler and your G61 will impress you.
