I' soloed on my "Old" Eagle 2 (bought the kit 14 yrs ago and finished it late last fall) early this spring and am wondering about all the downthrust built in. I have an OS FX 46 for power and its great. Problem, even at 1/2 throttle when cutting the power I get a real gain in altitude - not just a few feet! Does anyone know what or if it would hurt to put a small washer or two between the front engine mounts to cut the downthrust a bit and get less pitch up?
