It is plausible that the actions described by OP could be on the agenda of this organization or a fringe group within it.
I'd like to know what the source is. Informed by who? Where did the information come from?

Was informed that a small group (of non-fliers) are talking to exec's of various clubs trying to get them to comitt to having ALL flying and ground vehicles powered by electric or wind.
What clubs? AMA clubs? The AMA itself? With all the full scale aviation going on they're worried about the contribution from fuel/gas powered model airplanes?
I'd be looking for the source of the information before I'd waste any time worrying about it. Lacking any credible source this has all the earmarks of an internet legend.
OTOH, if it's real, it surely would make for some interesting reading. Provide some comic relief, anyway.
