I did not notice that you were not using a muffler until the other posted pointed it out.

Two-strokes burble and talk to themselves quite a bit when under anything less than full load. What you are hearing may be normal and "unfixable", so to speak, since nothing is really wrong anyway.

A little back pressure isn't necessary, but don't expect the two-stroke not to make two-stroke sounds...
