That you are right, just read the DOA/Accident reports on all the homebuilt non pilot certified deaths that occur. You are right in that you can build a spruce goose in your back yard but there are no events to fly it at and your still considered an enemy more than a friend. Watching some videos in China this crazy pilot flew a homebuilt off the local road into a his home edition you can see the houses and cars below him where he flys over the homes and he lands right down the middle of the road right smack dab in the middle of his neighborhood. Too crazy.

The problem with no rules is that your not on the radar and then when you get on the radar your a bogey and not a friendly.
