Just a quickie FYI here for y'all. I had e-mailed AMA some months ago with a request to do just this - restore my original AMA number. Got no response at first, but after waiting 6 months I e-mailed the membership director (Shawn Grubbs) directly, and within 2 weeks got the nicest reply from him - - along with my original number, RESTORED!!!! Took 1 more week to get my new AMA card in the snail-mail. Numbers are never re-issued to a new member, but CAN be restored to the original member.

He'll probably hate me for this but, TELL HIM I SENT YOU.
