That canopy was obviously made by a derainged ex 'Devo' fan or perhaps it intended to be one of the Saturday Nite Live coneheads Appears to be made out of an inappropriate section of plastic bottle.

I seriously doubt that this airplane was any kind of attempt to kit bash into a crop duster. However it could rather easily be done with some simple additions like a built up turtle deck an sloping foredeck with a raised cockpit. Just this simple change the airplane would start to resemble many of the various low wing monoplane type ag planes.
