I think the tail could be done just like on the F4 and it sits high enough to be out heat trouble.. The wing looks straight forward to me, make them split an inch or two outside the intakes. Large roomy fuselage. Would be great for twin engine as well. look how close the engines sit. Or single bifurb with minumum thrust loss.

No rotating gear to worry about. Straight up and down
