Yesss , I would say do it , paint the canopy .

Personally I like to paint the canopys of my airplanes but I have used Comex brand (en aerosol ) I would not recommend to you use it as at first time , but , you can use a nice brand specially for this application "Pactra" and in your case probably this is what you are looking for http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCY44&P=ML "Window Tint Colored Paint" , these paints works really nice and easy to apply .
