I live in Larnaca but one of the places that we fly jets is ladies mile, thats next to the north perimiter of RAF Akrotiri. Yes the U-2´s still fly out from there every day. The noise it makes is incredible, much louder than fighter jets.

Yes the PAF model is very good. The instructions clearly indicate all the dimensions for the positioning of the formers, for the different cut-outs, for positioning the wing pods etc.

The turbine is actually just behind the CG, and there is a lot of space in the nose area of the model for placing the rest of the equipment to balance things out.
