Hector,
thanks for the YS info. I'll use your setup as a guideline but will probably spin a bigger prop (11x7) to increase thrust and reduce speed (maybe). I'm looking for good vertical performance and constant horizontal pull. I might drop down to 11x6. So the pipes are on order (perhaps the biggest pipe and header order in a single purchase ever

) and the YS should be here sometime next week.
I don't know about the origin of the mini-pipe. I bought it off someone who didn't have the info but it's a commercial pipe not home brew. I forget who used to make these sorts of pipes. In Europe I think they are still somewhat popular. In any case, I'm curious to compare the performance of the engines on mini and full pipes.
I'm working up some covering templates for the wing/stab tops but in need to get a heater for my workshop. The temps are starting to dip and the hands get a little stiff. Today, however, we were back up to a sunny ~20C T-shirt weather on November 5th! Last week we had our first frost! There's nothing quite like witnessing first hand the impact of climate change up at more Northern latitudes...
'nough on that! I should have some further updates on the Tsunami soon. I guess I need to pick up a 10 oz tank for the .46.
David.
