Default RE: BME 58 Extreme

RTK,

What was your set up to drop 2 lbs? Mine weighted in at 17 lbs 4 or 6 oz with a Brison 3.2. Of course I have pulled the Brison off and will put it back on a DP EXtra. I have not weighted the plane with the motor swap out. I know the BME is suppose to be lighter but I am not sure by how much. I shifted my battery to the firewall and I am back natural on inverted flying now. I love the fact that a 24 x 8 prop spins very easily with this motor.

Tired Old Man what parts are you waiting on? I just installed my Reed block on my BME 111 (a 115 bottom end on 100 jugs). I did not fly it but it ran well on the ground. I took the time to set it back up with a throttle servo move so I had to re do my throttle mix. I spin a 26 x 10 Mejzlik at 6900-7k. I will be looking at trying a Vess on it soon as I start back flying it more. I think I have about 3-5 gallons on it. I never had any issues that the 115 guys experience but I still rated the block so I sent it for it as one day I may pull my 100 jugs and pistons off to put on the 115/16 parts.

I worked in the garage all day on my birds that have had their share of sitting this year and things came together pretty well. I think I will be looking to take out my Extra and Ultimate tomorrow as I will call this big bird day of flying .
