Hey Paul,
Do you seriously think your Funjet is going 130mph with a 3s set up on your Mega? You might want to have the radar gun used calibrated because you can't get that kind of speed on a 3s set up regardless of the prop you use. Even a motor calculator program says you'll pull about 98amps and pitch speed of about 108mph. I'm not knocking your set up but you don't want to misguide anyone new to these birds. I have plenty of Mega motors and I think they are one of the top motors out there including Neu, ARC and Hoffman Magnetics to name a few, which I do own. Unless you go to a 4s or 5s set up and a bigger motor you will not see 130mph on the Funjet. You're probably more like in the 95mph to low 100's on a 3s. Try the bigger can 16/25/x series on 4s and 5s if you want 130mph and faster. If you still think its going 130mph shoot some video and have someone doppler it. Getting the Funjet to go 130mph+ is harder than you might think, but definitely possible as others have already done it.

Guys, I thought i will add my two cents worth..I think I have heard every type combination possible, here, on what to use on a FJ! I have tried the Medusa V-2 motor, (as REP suggested)....to no real avail! I bit the bullet, and put a Mega 16/15/2/ with an APC 5.7x3 prop, and 3300 3S lipo...Now, This plane goes vertical, as fast as it goes in a power fly by! Radar is about 130mph! I tried an APC 4.75x4.75 also, and it hauls a.. in a power dive, but does not have the vertical "pull" that the 5.7x3 has. (the 4.75x4.75sounds bad as hell though, rpm wise)...I am drawing about 73 amps on full throtle, but the 54 amp thunderbird seems to handle it with no problem! My friend also has a FJ with a mega 16/15/2, and his is ballistic on APC 5.7x3...I'm going to experiment with more props.
I think that is the key, as i truly think I have the right motor! Thisw bird is FAST!!! Paul
