Agree with everything Disney1 said, but I also want to mention that I had no problems with the very first helicopter order I ever made that was from Xheli. I ordered my original HBK2 from them (because I hadn't read all about their bad reputation yet) along with some spare parts - and everything arrived in perfect shape. Generally for anything they sell, you can find another company such as U.S. Hobby Supply ( Michael at
http://www.ushobbysupply.com/ ) or Castle Rock Hobbies ( Rusty at
http://www.castlerockhobbies.com/ ) that will also sell it - with the wonderful reputations that these companies have for excellent customer service and support. No real need to take a chance on Xheli, when you can do business with one of these guys instead!
I'm a "customer for life" with U.S. Hobby Supply because Michael is 29 miles away and has gone out of his way to provide unbelievable service and support to me! He even came to my house to deliver one of my early orders from him, and to help me fix a problem I was having repairing my HBK2 after its first crash - even though I didn't even buy it from him. A couple of months ago, I even visited him at his house and got tons of fantastic help setting up and adjusting a bunch of upgrades I'd put on (Logictech 2100T HH gyro, Dx6i, new brushless motor, etc.) - pretty fantastic support from a "web only" business! Highly recommended!
I have not yet had the pleasure of doing business with Rusty at Castle Rock Hobbies, but would do so in an instant from all that I've read and seen about the great service and support he provides too! I don't think you can go wrong with either of these guys! They spend a lot of time in these forums and are always glad to help others via PM, e-mail, and telephone. If everyone ran their businesses this way, we'd have a perfect world!
Cheers,
Dave
