Default RE: Ceramic Clunks vs UAT?

ORIGINAL: G4guy
I have flown thousands of flight with Mercurys, Pegasus with nothing but a 4,6 or 8 oz hopper tank with a felt filtered clunk. I have never had a flame out. If it works, I stick with it!

I was doing some tests on a Pegasus (NL) a few weeks ago.
I ran the fuel so low that the pump was pulling FOAM out of the UAT and onto the engine. It still ran fine although the pump was working hard.
I was amazed ! [X(] The Merc/Peggy/Olly family are very bubble tolerant.

Other (usually smaller) engines will quit with just one bubble.
