Those Ener-g packs will make a big difference, IMO best NiMh cells out on the market from what I've seen. I really would go to lipo.
Ya i should know better.God only knows i,ve been around the hobby for long enough to know that if you dont pay now you could end up paying later
That holds true with batteries too. Spend $80 on some NiMh when you could have got a nice lipo for that much. Here is a pack that costs less then that one, it's lipo, and the Mah is almost twice as high! Plus, lipos are way better, they can hold their voltage better, and best of all they really don't have the voltage swings that a NiMh has. A NiMh has a ton of punch right off the charger, after a day or so you start to notice a little less punch. This keeps getting worse until you almost need to run it right off the charger if you don't want to get bored driving the thing. My old NiMh batteries would charge to around 9.2v and drop down to around 8.6. Somewhere around there. My Lipos will charge to 8.40 volts (every single time), and drop down to 8.38-39 volts. That's 0.01-0.02 drop in voltage. NOT BAD!
