Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Hi everyone,
New here and just got a MT2 in trade from usmcpunk. Didnt have a body so I put this one on it, only my 4th time painting. It looks blue in the pic but it is really pearl purple. Where can I get aluminum parts besides ebay? My lhs doesnt have a lot of parts for this even the plastic ones. I also tried my local hobbytown but forget about them for any parts that arent traxxas. I am also currently building a MT from the spares that came with the trade, should be in a few months most parts I ordered should be in and I will have it up and running (crossing fingers). That is if I can talk [sm=cry_smile.gif] my wife into letting me buy a radio sytem for it. I also have a slayer and it is dissapointing compared to stadium trucks. Handling isnt the greatest and it flips EASY on turns. That might be my next project to upgrade suspension and wheels to make it handle like a stadium. I regret buying it and should have just bought a stadium from the begining. I do have to say the slayer can take a beating! The only problems I have had is the steering servo internal gears have stripped 2x on me and the front stub axle carriers have cracked so I upgraded to a heavier duty one and havent had any problem since. This is my first HPI and am very impressed with this. It is one heck of a fun truck!
