I would appreciate to be directed to old threads, web links, etc. containing basic information about how to convert two-stroke gas engines for use on RC model airplanes.

Tips about the practical application and relation of engine displacement to propeller size, gas tank capacity, wing area or weight of the models would also be helpful.

I have been flying with small glow engines.

I like bigger models, powered by gas; however, I cannot afford the commercial engines.

I have been a machinist, so I could do some of the conversion work.

I would like to start with cheap engines as small as possible.
