Default RE: Laser Diode

Would be interested to see how it works, may liken unto a tracer type effect.
Yes, it is very much like a stream of red tracers, especially in lower light conditions. Use the same cautions you would use for any laser, don't point it at eyes... yours, your pets, whatever, a little common sense is all that is needed here, and considering that it will be firing down very low to the ground most of the time anyawy, this really shouldn't be much of an issue. I have one installed in the hull MG position on my WSN T-34 and it works great, the effect is very satisfying, it pulses in synch with and at exactly the same rate as the MG firing sound, awesome. I have it set to "impact" the ground at about 100 (scale) meters in front of the tank. These are quite easy to install in the hull MG position on most tanks, but more difficult in turrets. I would like to emphasize that I installed mine to replicate a bow Machine Gun firing tracer bullets, not as a "targeting laser" which would be fine for a modern tank like a Leo or Abrams but unrealistic for a WWII tank.
