Default RE: trimaran plans

@ Yann

and for all interested persons, who would like to draw the "Nightmare Mk. VII" on Autocad or other rendering programs.

Coordinate sets for the floats:
__________________________________________________ ________________________________________________

„Nightmare Mk.VII“
Coordinates for the floats – View from Top

1) The cross sections are counted from Stern to bow,
The stern is 0 (Zero) and then up to 15.
Distance between each cross section 80 mm + 20 mm for the bowbumper.

2) The numbers given below are of course only half width.
At the widest point the float must be 48mm x 2 = 96 mm.

3) These floats have vertical sides. Therefore the numbers given below are also the radiusses for the lower part of the floats.

0 = 24,000mm
1 = 29,333mm (+5,333mm)
2 = 34,000mm (+4,666mm)
3 = 38,000mm (+4,000mm)
4 = 41,333mm (+3,333mm)
5 = 44,000mm (+2,666mm)
6 = 46,000mm (+2,000mm)
7 = 47,333mm (+1,333mm)
8 = 48,000mm (+0,666mm)
________________________ widest point/not identical with center of volume

9 = 48,000mm (+0,000mm)
10= 46,000mm (-2,000mm)
11= 42,000mm (-4,000mm)
12= 36,000mm (-6,000mm)
13= 28,000mm (-8,000mm)
14= 18,000mm (-10,000mm)
15= 06,000mm (-12,000mm)

+ 20 mm for the Bowbumper

„Nightmare Mk.VII“
Coordinates for the floats – View from Side.

1) The cross sections are counted from Stern to bow,
The stern is 0 (Zero) and then up to 15.
Distance between each cross section 80 mm + 20 mm for the bowbumper.

2) This set of numbers given below describe the keel rocker line.
As the floats should only TOUCH the waterline - but not dive into,
there are NO numbers with a – (Minus) in front of them.
This (the Minus-coordinates) would only apply for the mainhull.

3) In this design mode the stern is 52,00 mm above CWL (Construction waterline).

4)The deckline is simply a straight line.
As the stern is 48,00 mm high, the deckline starts there at 100,00 mm.
The deckline goes up 2,00 mm for each cross section.
Therefore the bow is 130,00 mm above CWL.
But as the keel rockerline goes up again 2,00 mm at the bow, the bow is actually 128 mm high.

0 = 52,000mm
1 = 44,000mm (-8,00mm)
2 = 36,666mm (-7,33mm)
3 = 30,000mm (-6,66mm)
4 = 24,000mm (-6,00mm)
5 = 18,666mm (-5,33mm)
6 = 14,000mm (-4,66mm)
7 = 10,000mm (-4,00mm)
8 = 06,666mm (-3,33mm)
________________________ widest point, but not the deepest point of the float/
not identical with center of volume
9 = 04,000mm (-2,66mm)
10= 02,000mm (-2,00mm)
11= 00,666mm (-1,33mm)
12= 00,000mm (-0,66mm)
deepest point of the float
13= 00,000mm (-0,00mm)
14= 00,666mm (+0,66mm)
15= 02,000mm (+1,33mm)

+ 20 mm for the Bowbumper

13-22,000 mm
14-14,500 mm
15-05,500 mm

+ 20,00 mm for the bowbumper

You will notice, that a straight (flat) strip of 22mm wideness (11mm x 2) from Stern up to cross section 9 remains.
This flat section is for (later to be done) easier installation of the crossbarfittings and the necessary reinforcements of the floats in this area.
From cross section 9 up to the bow, this flat section becomes slimmer in a harmonic curve.
