These links are provided as example sources and grades with some showing pricing though in this volatile market for petro-chem based materials and your need for assurance that any one of these is appropriate for your specific application, ask questions. In particular to know is the roll to a radius capabilities each grade of phenolic is capable of providing. This is an indicator of mechanical surface strength and durability under tension & compression across airframe former spans.

The less a project relies on T & C for structural integrity, a thinner grade of phenolic can be applied. Principal reason for phenolic use is to build a mechanical base to replicate metal surfaces at the same time build-in robust handling capabilities on large projects with as low an accumulative weight.

Prepare a list of questions to ask these and other suppliers. Try to find a supplier near you to go visit. These people are very easy to work with in achieving the perfect composite solution for your project. I have always found them willing to listen to your specific “mechanical” need.
