I build with Dave Johnson sometimes and he uses a very sophisticated metal straight edge and an exacto knife with a number 11 blade.
This describes me. Metal ruler from the $1 store and a 20 year old X-acto knife. But, hey, I'm willing to move up to the "good stuff" in the $10 and under range!
