Default RE: Good 2nd plane?

The Pulse XT 40 would make a fine 2nd plane for a new pilot that has mastered their trainer, IMHO. It`s only drawback is that it`s lightly built and won`t be tremendously tolerant of rough treatment. One thing I noticed is that it is an easy airplane to land, but is bouncy if you don`t land it JUST RIGHT. I found that it lands best if you fly it to the ground with some speed. In that respect it`s similar to a warbird. It lands best by letting it come in flat, controlling descent rate with the throttle and only giving it a slight amount of elevator right at touchdown.
