Thanks for a great reply. My aerobatic instructor was a pilot for United and he also flew the airshow circuit. He had a Pitts and an identical RC version. He would fly a routine with the RC and then duplicate it in his full scale. I have quite a few hours in an S2B that my brother and I owned and the speed question was a frequent one in that plane as well, and almost equally meaningless.
Speed as opposed to acceleration and G's in airplanes seems almost meaningless unless you are right on the deck, going 550 in a commercial jetliner is far less thrilling than a loop at 100 in a biplane....
