Your photos are great, thanks for sharing them. I am only a guest occasionally at the field you were at - I'm there sometimes a four or five times a year max when I'm in town for business and fly there with my jets less often than that. But you have a great field and a great group of guys to fly with if you ever get the bug, the Apollo field is an awesome place. Flying an RC jet can be just as much fun if not more than full size sometimes because there are not the career implications and court house lawyer mental maneuvering games required to pull the gear up and have some fun with an RC jet. It's liberating. You'd fit in quite well among the jet crowd I'm sure, you should consider getting a starter RC airplane and having some fun with the boys at Apollo field.
