Turbine powered jets are still slower than what is being flown in dynamic soaring. DS sailplanes are hitting 370 MPH and they don't require a waiver to fly!
WRONG- I believe erbroens and his buds in Brazil have proven that our turbine jets can go over 400mph without much modifying.
Not to mention that this year is very likely that we are going to raise this speed if everything goes right... we are a bit worried that a glider thrown away from a cliff could claim that it flies faster than a jet!
