You can set the TX so when you flip the switch it does NOT drop the flaps all the way... adjust the servo travel amount to do this.
Normally you'll find that you'll only need about 30% flaps for them to be effective.
I tried that last night. When you go to set the expo it won't go to the flap channel which is 6. Maybe I'm overlooking something.
