Default RE: engine prices shooting up

OK, just checked, last year this time, the Yen was around 108.025 Yen to the US Dollar, today it was trading at 95.48 Yen to the US Dollar, which means roughly a 13% decline in the Yen???

Done some calculations based on the V-spec at retail price.

One year ago................
£165 converted to US$ = US$339
US$339 converted to Yen = 32406.39 Yen

Therefore assuming that the cost of the OS has not changed in Japan, which is highly likely, then the following would apply:

Today..................
32406.39 Yen converted to US$ = US$300
US$300 converted to £'s = £193.55

This correlates very nicely with the price on A-main, and just shows how much they are ripping us off here and using the Dollar strength as an excuse.

Current price of V-Spec is around the £220 to £230 mark, which is around £276.50 to £36.50 more than is should be.

Obviously this is all done on nice and neat black and white figures, we have no idea what other extenuating circumstances there may be in the background.
