Thats not necessarily so, our funjet runs 2200 or 2500 4s1p packs with the 2W20 and pushes 800 watts or so, has been clocked at 136mph from a shallow dive and 124mph level flight. Its light and quick, no extra bracing and as you can see in the video a page or so back it launches super easy and flies on rails. Doesnt need to be a lead brick to fly well or fast.
The guys I fly with who have had MANY funjets all have been there and done that, a few have had 5 cell setups with 3300 packs and all complained it was heavy and did not fly nice at all. After flying this relatively light one and another much heavier one I have to agree.
