Well I got a complete trans from ebay, so I installed that and made sure the springs on the shift linkage were tight when they shifted into their appropriate position. I was wondering though if I should use a piece of fuel line instead of the springs on the linkage. I like the idea of reverse for a basher so I want to keep it on there. Most of the time I run in my back yard so there is not a whole lot of room there and the reverse comes in handy when jammed up against a fence.
The springs are ok, Just be sure and set your end points carefully. That shift arm is easy to snap off ... I know from a brain fade
