The latest 9 channel or more offerings from JR and Futaba are in silver cases. It seems to be the fashion.

I think it looks great, and feel it would look very drab in black. Also, in hot climates, black really soaks up the sun ... and gets hot. Not a good thing.

One should always leave a transmitter in the shade when not in use of course []
