03 DSG Snake -
Thanks for your compliment on my Airwolf. In reading your post above it reminds me of ME before I got into the hobby. All I ever wanted was an Airwolf and I was finally able to make it happen. I have been flying now for about 14 years and I started on a Concept 30 SE and after learning to hover I soon upgraded to an X-cell 60.
I have to say I agree with RSCAMP in that a smaller heli is a bit harder to work with. I would recomend something in the .50 - .60 size to start with. If you are serious about this hobby don't by an ARF. While they may be quick to get you in the air, the experience of building and setting up will go along way to helping you understand what makes these things work. You will also become very familier with every piece of the aircraft which makes it easier to diagnose problems in the future. Also, try to find a local hobby shop, if possible, that you can go to and see several models and talk to someone with some pratical knowledge of the hobby you are looking at.
I will be happy to help in any way I can. If you like you can always e-mail me @
[email protected].
Good luck!
