RE: Need new RX14
I bought an RX13 from Blueslatesman as no-one else has any RX14s (except TZ but I refuse to support them).
I have soldering and solder-removal tools and I've already patched up this RX14 board with components from a duff RX13 I had laying around (I used to work in electronics and the quality of these boards, both design and manufacture is extremely poor) but this time I couldn't find the problem - the resisters that usually blow are fine (they're only about 2.4 ohms and act like fuses). When you try to the use the board, the tank moves slowly and the sound 'stutters'. Turret functions are fine. I also checked the receiver board by swapping it from another tank; it's ok. Quite possible an IC failure.
The RX13s seem a lot more hardy - at least in that I've yet to blow a single one.
What's the quality like on the RX18?
