I thought the same thing so I pulled up a three-view. Viewed from the side, the nose looks long & thin. Viewed from the top, the nose looks stubbier.
The photos in the thread are taken at an angle so it's hard to tell if the nose is right. Using the floor tiles as a guide, and comparing the length of the nose to the engine nacelles it doesn't seem to be far off from the three-view.
Oliver, finish the F-84 and check this out for us.
By the way, is the food still excellent at the Dubai Golf and Country Club? I had absolutely best "chicken fingers" in the world there for lunch one day!!!!! The Aviation Club buffet was pretty amazing too!!!!

Also consider the fact that the picture was taken at 17mm on the zoom ( wide angle ) so the perspective is probably mistaking.
The only way to make sure about this is to check it on the bench. However, knowing Ilja, I strongly doubt there is a mistake on this section ( he has the original certified drawings and is very precise in his work... )
