RE: Getting Back into R/C (Electric mostly, but also nitro)
Hey Druss, I have the Triton Charger, not a Triton 2. It does not have LiPo listed on there, but it has Li-Ion, which I think is similar in terms of charging save for discharge and how much to peak bnefore storage (I forgot the numbers long ago). Bu I am definitely looking for a balancer today as I go from hobby store to hobby store. I just cut out a BMW body for my Pro 4 that I bought many moons ago. It looks damn nice for my first try after 4 years! I didn't have the tools I did in the past, but I still had my trusty dremel to smooth things out. Now I just need to paint it and finish trying to recover my dead NiMHs. I have them on reflex charge on the DuraTrax ICE charger to remove oxidized bubbles or whatever the manual said about them.
Hey aero750rider! What part of VA you in? I remember castle creations VERY well in my airplane days. I know they churned out some top notch and affordable ESC and Brushless systems for use with 7.2v all the way to 11.1v LiPo packs. I used them in park flyers all the time! But I did not know they also made stuff for R/C cars, especially Brushless systems!! Do you have any links to systems you recommend? Don't worry about price. Just provide the creme de la creme (also goes for anyone else here when making suggestions).
And now electrics have gone in the 1/8 Off-road ARENA?!!! Dear Lord, I think I grew too comfortable in this hole of mine... LOL!
Alright all, I will be back maybe this evening, who knows.
