RE: Ultrasport 1000 firewall
We are definitely spoiled by the power that is available today. When the US 1000 first came out the hot ticket was either a Supertiger 3000 or an O.S. 1.20 Supercharged. Neither of these engines cuts the mustard today. I have an Ultrasport 100 with an O.S. 1.60 and I can get 1000 foot vertical uplines. It won't 3D but who cares, I am not a 3D pilot. But I love my space shuttle uplines!
