Default RE: What is your RC Net Worth?

Back to the subject a little, Ken is right about the insurance. I have more tied up in tools that I want to admit to.

Mechanics tools, woodworking tools, hobby tools.

I think I have figured that to get into any hobby takes about 5000 dollars. To venture off into a different section of the hobby, about 2000 dollars more. For instance get into woodworking, then get a setup for wood turning.

Anyway, to add to what Ken said earlier, the best thing to do is to inventory all of your tools and put them into a spreadsheet on your computer. While you have all of your tools laying out during the inventory take some digital photo's of them. Those of us with too many tools may have to fill up the table several times to get photo's of them all. Then get enventories and photo's of your airplanes, engines, and radios, including the planes that are still in the box.

After you get your spreadsheets and photo's together, store them on a CD. Make two. Store one off premisis like at work, safety deposit box, or give to a friend to hold.

While you are at it also make spreadsheets for your lawn and gardening equipment, furniture, and other posessions and list prices so you can see if your insurance will cover any and all losses.

As far as just my RC net worth is now, I would have to say over 10K.
