The engine performs very well on stock mufflers with more power than other 100cc engines. We knew that noise is an ever increasing problem with some fields and that canisters or tuned exhaust will become mandatory. We looked at the future and decided to make the engine work well with tuned exhaust. It has 170 degree exhaust duration which is known to be tuned exhaust type timing. All of the power figure we have quoted have been on stock type mufflers. All but one of the protoypes in the field are running stock mufflers.
