Default RE: Why are FlyeagleJet going so Big !

ORIGINAL: bigplumbs

I was very pleased when Flyeagle Jet came into the hobby particularly as they started producing models of a nice size at a very reasonable cost. I have to say I am very dissapointed that they seem to now think that big is beautiful. I live in the UK and I understand that most jet models are produced for the US where things seem to be bigger. I tend to prefer models designed around 10 and 14 lb thrust turbines. They use less fuel, Fit ie cars better and are cheaper to run. They also of course need less runway to take off and land and less sky to fly in. Is this just me or do others agree.

I would also love to see some older jets such as a Mig 15, Hunter or Vampire............... God knows we have enough F16's, 15,s 18's e and all those other US jets...... Other countries built some very nice jets as well you know.

Regards and Happy new year to all.............. Oh and please lets see some smaller Jets with more wing area.

Dennis,

I actually found that from thirteen makers of jets we see available for our enjoyment, 23 models (scale) are of US planes and 24 are from other countries, i.e.: Sweden, Russia, England, etc. Also, there are a few companies that are producing the Mig 15, 21, 27, Bae Hawk, Lightning, Venom, Hunter Hawker, Draken, Javelin, and a few other earlier jets. You might consider looking at the models done by Grumania as many of their planes are suitable for the smaller turbines.
