Default RE: 50cc Sukhette Build Thread, now in progress!!

Ok, have now read each and every page of this thread over the last couple of days, and almost feel like I know you guys!

Anyway, have concluded that I will stick with the rearward stab location.

I notice with great interest, the use of the A123 LiFe batteries... My question on this one, is I will be using an AR9100 receiver, along with JR DS8911 servos on ailerons & rudder, and probably DS8425's on the elevators. I believe these servos are for 4.8v use, but the Spektrum receivers need more voltage than this. Is it safe to use these A123 batteries without a regulator with these servos?

I am hoping to have my plane built and ready to fly by Tuesday or Wednesday, using the 3W 56i twin from my Edge, but with a KS tuned pipe. It pulls 7400 on cans with 23x8 JXF prop, so should be an interesting combo.

Thanks,

Mike.
