Because they are as entry level as you can get. I'm not saying you can't compete with it but if you're going to compete you're going to WANT a better chasis. If for nothing else the steering on the TT-01 is very sloppy.

I'm not just saying this, I've got 3 TT-01's myself with 2 set up as drifters and they are fine for just playing with but I would not compete with them.
