Thank you for the links. I am ordering a set of shafts now.
Now the last thing I want to do is sound like a smart *****, I appreciate all the info very much BUT, the pinion gears for the RS4 2 speed are not like the gears on other cars. All the first gears and all the second gears are the same diameter. I know what you are thinking. NOW CAN THAT HAPPEN?? Creative tooth spacing makes this happen. The gears with more teeth have narrower teeth then on gears with fewer teeth. I only found out about this one night while playing with some gear ratios for this car. I also found it in the gear chart from HPI. It states “You can use any 1st gear pinion with any 2nd gear pinion”.
But I am still worried that this lower ratio will break more parts. Now today I got a chance to try the new gears and had no problem. I DO like the higher speeds and the motor has no problem pulling it.
I just have a couple more questions. Will the Kawahara tires bolt straight on or do you need adaptors, what diameter are they and do you know if their 220mm Lola body works with these tires on the RS4?
