Default CA Hinges

I agree with you if the basic things are done correctly, but I've actually evaluated various brand of hinges on scrap balsa with a plier pull test. The drill hole actually help to get the ca wicking deep into the slot. But nifty hinges don't need them as they have a slot in the middle. I hate the mess it creates after you've sanded beautiful bevels. Another result I found is that the diff brands exhibit diff interfacial strength between the inner core layer and the outer porous layer. That's why I've given away certain brands in my inventory............

don't drill them ca hinge slots anymore
cos' my nifty hinges are strong to the core

Howzat Bill ? Hey, I really miss your parting shots........
