Default RE: Nitromethane evaporate?

Ethanol looks to be a good bet .Its works well with spark ignition and very similar to gasoline .It will probably supply 10% more power than gasoline but maybe 10% less than Methanol .However unlike gasoline it doesn't have lubrication qualities so instead of say 3% lubricating oil for gasoline Ethanol will often be 10% to 20% similar to methanol. Also the lubrication has to be the types that mixes with alcohols and these tend to be more costly oil.Suitable Castor oil exist and synthethic .They can be shipped to you without to be HAZMAT costs. The Ethanol should work well without nitromethane .Getting nitro methane pure through the post is a issue as it usually requires hazmat rates like methanol usually does.If you do go to use nitro methane 5% to 20% can help a lot same as methanol.

I think OS are bringing out engines that are made to run on ethanol E85 which should work OK with 100% ethanol. However before comiting yourself to Ethanol over methanol look in the area for the two fuels >paper mills and soap factories or paint factories often have one of these fuels and might sell it to you and save the problem to make it If your planning to run your car on ethanol that makes using ethanol production more interesting with larger scale production.

What engines makes and types you want to run on methanol or Ethanol.
