Calypso...information on Modeltech Calypso ARC


Props, power system photos

I was in Milwaukee a few weeks ago and stopped by a hobby shop with boxes and boxes of stuff from...the beginning. I found a Graupner 11" x 8" plastic nylon prop, a variety of JZ props and a Rev Up. The wooden props will have a few standard "mods" including the angled tips and blade thinning. A warm Saturday afternoon may allow a flight with each of the props and a caller with a notebook discussing the results. A tachometer for the purist, I prefer to just "fly" them.

The Buy-Bay found motor is as used by Mr. Prettner, header and pipe by Dave at Mac's.

The cost of the project is reasonable considering it was "World Class" in Hanno's hands. (Note: the Goldberg Falcon 56 MkII would have been in Hanno's hands as well.)
